Congrats Sara Lowe!
Congrats to Sara Lowe! Lowe, a Stanford University synchro swimmer (and member of the Olympic team featured in Sync or Swim) was just named Most Outstanding female senior athlete by the Univeristy.
The Stanford Athletic Board Award for Most Outstanding female senior was also shared by three All-Americans and record holders: Synchronized swimmer Sara Lowe, a 12-time national champion in her sport, national track and field champion Erica McLain, a contender to make the U.S. Olympic team, and current professional basketball player Candice Wiggins of the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.
Lowe was named Athlete of the Meet at the Collegiate Nationals, and then helped Stanford became the first collegiate team to win the U.S. national title. She’s a three-time collegiate champion in solos, four-time collegiate champion in duets, three-time collegiate champion in trios and three-time collegiate champion in team.
The last time we saw Sara she was busy sweeping the 2008 Synchro Nationals. Congrats again, Sara! We’re impressed!
And if you didn’t see it before, this is one of my favorite pics of parental support.

Sara Lowe’s Dad paid homage to his daughter’s Olympic win…in ink.
