Close call for Seattle Synchro Team.
Several members of the Seattle Synchronized Swimming team nearly drowned while practicing breath-holding exercises during practice on Monday, April 21st. Four members of the team were pulled out of the water by their coaches and lifeguards and rushed to nearby hospitals. Initial reports indicate that there might have been some high chemical levels in the pool’s chlorine which caused the air just above the pool to be “toxic.” Thankfully all of the swimmers are reportedly doing fine. Public Health officials have yet to uncover the source of the problem.
